I apologize if this has been addressed elsewhere; but in all honesty I've read so many different sites/tutorials that my head's spinning. I'm simply trying to find out what exactly a programmer is needed for, if one can flash the BIOS using a CD. In other words, are there ever times where one *has* to have the programmer? I've ordered the Xecuter 2.6CE with the solderless kit (I just had carpal tunnel surgery and want this to be as easy as possible LOL), and I know I don't need it off the bat; but want to be prepared for the future.
go to xbins an look for the bios there and u can flash with those , u can aslo use the HTTP option to flash if u dont wanna fool with themakeof cd
Just go to xbins and find the BIOS that you want. Then just put it on a disc. I would put it on a CD-RW because the Xbox can read those better (well mine did anyway). Get to the BIOS screen and go to the option Flash from CD.
