K, so since I have N64 on my xbox, me and some friends were planning of making a controller for the xbox out of an old N64 controller. Does anyone know of a site that has a tut on how to, or if anyone has some knowledge of wiring. Thanks P.S. The N64 controller has a red, white, and black wire, and the xbox had a red, white, black, yellow, and green wire.
I have another way of doing this and want to know if this would work. They have an xbox USB adapter, and a n64 to usb adapter. Would it work if I plugged the Xbox USB adapter into the xbox, then the N64 USB adapter into that, and then just plug in an N64 controller into that. Thanks
The great thing about USB, is that to SOME degree, your system has to have a driver to know how to use it. Keyboards can be plugged directly in, because M$ programmed a generic keybord driver for some games. Gamepads, usb controller adapters, etc.... Good luck. You might be able to use the N64 controller while running linux on the xbox, but even that is kind of a stretch, due to many hardware limitations. Your best best is probably lookign for a straight adapter box for n64 to xbox(If they exist), or even just findint a tut to re-wire yourself, while it is an interesting idea, I have never seen one. If you come across it, please do share. this could be a fun little project for me...
