Anyone heard anything about this. Is this the end http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wn3tfH-WYkM My box is picking up a channel telling me about the new cards
cant be n3 as vm already openly stated they going down the IPTV route, but is still interesting as to why???????
Not necessarily, they were testing it, never said there defiantly goin IPTV. It could also be a Hybrid of N3 and iptv.
here you go have a read- http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/digitaltv/news/a176867/virgin-media-to-rollout-new-iptv-platform.html http://www.marketwire.com/press-release/Cisco-NASDAQ-CSCO-1043287.html
hi was just watchin the vid and seen that they are usein old boxes aswell as new boxes (ie the one that has the card behind the pannel on the front is a old sa box) i cant rem if it was this fourm or another one that i read that the old sa and pace boxes could not support n3, has anyone else heard of this? i also know someone else that has a legit cable box who was havin loads of troble with his interactive service on bbc and a few other on demand things and had a enginer sent out to him and was told it was a ongoing thing and in the next few weeks he would be getting a new card and this should fix this prob. any one got any other news on this so far
If Ireland and the rest of europe is anything t go by then i dont understand why vermin wouldnt roll out N3 immediately considering its instant impact on our boxes. The IPTV route i think is more a long term plan over the next few years but i would imagine vermin have allowed ireland to be the test country purely based on population and if all stays secure then they will follow which seems to be whats happening. anyway i dont know just speculating. I am sure we will find out very soon if this is the case.
