My DS is a year old today and still no dead pixels (touch wood), any1 know if this is a common problem, but the easiest way of sorting this out I can see is to return it to where you got it from or contact Nintendo, or you could buy a replacement screen from ebay or just Google it there are plenty out there and there are companies that will fix it for you.

But as I said I'd return it to the shop or contact Nintendo.

you dont have to pay, it's their problem, not yours. i think you do hve to pay shipping, but if ur dat lazy, dont bother doing anything. its just a pixel.

also, you ~could~ try doing some stuck pixel tricks (rubbing the screen, playing flashy games, etc.) to see if the pixel comes back.

too broke to exchange? theres no money involved in an exchange..........

P.S. most manufacturers dont cover stuck pixels unless there are a ton of them. Not sure how nintendo is but I know resellers like NewEGG have a 7pixel policy - if 7 or more of the pixels on the screen are dead/stuck, you get a replacement.. if not.. thats your problem.

Let me save you some time and headache.. and tell you to go exchange it. if you're too lazy to do that then live with it. I had a stuck pixel on my first ds.. and after trying for DAYS to get it out.. still didn't get out. So.. it went back.
