hi, just today i booted my ds and the intro screen with the nintendo sign with the ching sounds far more high pitched than normal rather like a alarm clock chime, i know its very different as i booted my wifes and its sounded normal, are there any out there having this same thing, funny thing is in game sounds are not affected its just that intro, any ideas on this please let me know regards
Is it your birthday? (yes it's a strange question) When it's your birthday (or whatever date you gave the DS as your birthday when first setup) the startup tone is different. I've never heard the different tone as my DS boots straight to the menu, no health & safety screen or tone.
I have had this happen to my NDSL as well. I just ignored it and eventually I got my original startup sound back. It never affected my gameplay though. Edit: 1 min too late...
