HI All, Really sorry if this is a duplicate thread. Quick query. I want to buy my son a 3DS-XL for Christmas - Does any ROM device exist to play 3DS Roms on the 3DS device? I hear there are r4 cards, but they only play the old DS games on 3DS-XL machines...? Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the help guys - much appreciated. Quick question, Are these versions (v4.1-v4.5) OLDER hardware? Is the latest/brand new 'off the shelf' 3dsXL a newer version now?! If so, I might need to buy a second hand machine? Will the R4i Gold 3DS Deluxe Edition play on a 3dsXL? By the way I'm in Ireland - I assume there is no region coding issues? I see those links posted above are to American sites with dollar prices... Sorry for the slew of questions, just wanna get this right before spending €220 on a unit!
