just like the title says. i bought it used off ebay for 10 bucks, so no big loss if i can't get it to work. i would like to, however. it didn't come with drivers or a software cd. i replaced my paren'ts old dvd rom drive with the nec, and put in a movie just to see if it would play. it did. since it played a dvd, i put in a cdr, an audio cd, and a game install cd. it wouldn't read any. i don't have any blank dvds, so i don't nkow if it will write them or not yet. after it wouldn't read anything but a movie,i ran the .exe driver file from www.driverguide.com . it created a folder for the drivers, then a window came up with a drop-down box and a little message saying the target device could not be found. i don't know a ton about puters, so if someone could walk me through fixing this, i would greatly appreciate it. thanks in advance
