I have tried to backup my movies onto DVD-R with no success. When I use DVD X Copy Express it starts to burn then stops after about 5 minutes with an error: "Error writing to disk". When I play the dvd to see if anything was recorded I can see the first 30 seconds of the DVD then it freezes. I read that this drive is very picky with media so I've tried the following. Princo Compusa branded DVD-R(until I read that it was low quality), Imation DVD-R(which is RitekG03), and Fuji 4X DVD-R. With all three I got the same results. I have tried firmware updates and Herrie's firmware with the same results. Any Ideas?
