Which one should I get...NEC 2510A or Lite-On SOHW-832S??? I need to know ASAP. My old burner died and I need to order a new one SOON. I have it narrowed down to these two. So which one is better??? Why? THANK YOU!!!
I have a Lite-on LDW 411S drive at the moment which has been a great drive a bit sticky with certain media but overall a good performer.This drive could do everything and more than my old pioneer A04 could.However i'm looking to upgrade this weekend and remove my old Philips cdrw and have been closely looking at the NEC 2510A.I have heard some people say it has read errors on the drive.But then you have people coming back and saying a firmware update does the trick and others say what read errors.But normally read errors to me are when someone has not created the dvd format right or a disc is damaged.I think i will give this drive a go as the price is unbeatable and people i know with previous NEC drives swear by them as a really good drive.If anyone else out there has one of these drives can they please give myself and erik 1213 there experiences with this drive.
