Nec dvd+rw nd1100A and DVD-R

    Hi
    I have a small problem.I want to burn DVD-R discs my nec dvd+rw nd 1100a but it doesnt support that format.Reason for that is my home dvd player which doesnt work with dvd+r discs.Is that possible to upgrade this nd 1100a to burn dvd-r?Somewhere here in afterdawn(finnsh version) somebody told that nd 1100a support also dvd-r.

    I dont think it does.. and if it doesnt from the beginning i doubt that a firmware update can do what you ask.

    nope, there is nothing you can do. have you tried good quality discs like ritek or verbatim? your player might read them.

    I try to find firmware update for this.If some body have that firmware please let me know.It should be plug and play not plug and pray :)

    there is no firmware that will let you burn -r with that drive.
