I just bought a ton of TDK DVD-R discs, however, my NEC ND-2500A does not recognize them. I've updated the firmware to v1.0A and confirmed that I have the latest ASPI. I've also verified that DMA is turned on. Please help. I think these are goods DVDs and would like to make them work. Thanks in advance.

I've just verified that the drive can only function as a CD/CD-RW. It just lost all DVD capabilities, including read. This is very strange. I've also tried to flash the firmware again, but no luck.

Thanks for the tip. I was actually able to resolve the issue. I had to flash the firmware under "safe mode" (Windows 2000). Don't know why it didn't work under "normal mode." Hope this will help others that have the same issue.
