Ok, well long story short. I've had my Lite-On 451S up and running for a couple of weeks now and finally got it to the point where it's running quite well (at least I think so!). Now my dad, after talking about how nice the DVD-Burner is to have around, also decided to buy one but went for the NEC 2500A 8x burner. I downloaded Herries 1.07 beta 7 firmware and was wondering with the Booktype setting if DVDInfo Pro will be able to change the booktype setting on this drive or not? If it doesn't, what utility gets used to perform these functions for the NEC 2500A? Thanks for any advice - new to these forums and have discovered a lot of truely great information from you folks that have solved my problems without having to post too much in return.
Yes use DVD Info pro to change the bitsetting. If you use Nero to burn make sure you have latest version (6.3.1.6) and if tick box appears on burning tab of Nero when you go to burn untick the box for best compatability. Other users have reported probs if Nero DVD-Rom option is ticked.
