The carrier or company the cell phone was purchased from was Cellular One, they have now been bought out and merged with AT&T.
your carrier is now AT&T look on the phone and it should say that on the home screen as the network it works on try these codes to unlock ur phone #pw+885621006453460+7# #pw+424507740362345+1# remove simm and power on phone enter the cdoe provided to get the p and w and + signs use the star key(*) by pressin it quickly it should work please reply if it works
sorry the codes dont work try posting your problem on www.unlocknokia.us.com and someone there will be able to help you. please dont try any more codes unles someone there instructs you to dont want your phone to be hard locked u only got 5 free tries to start off and now u have used 2 u have 3 left so try there and see if u get professional help also please thell them that u tried 2 other codes but they didnt work good luck.
If the phone was bought original from Cellular One, it's already unlocked. Put a new sim in and it should be fine.
I guess I must have screwed with it to much, I tried putting the old card back in and also the new card and it still says to insert the sim card with it in the phone. I have another one just like it that was my wifes I'll try it in that one and see what happens. I can give him that one if it works. Thanks everybody for the help.
Take the sim you want to use and get a soft cotton cloth or sock (DRY) and clean the gold side of the sim. Also, clean the small prongs inside the phone where the sim will be meeting. It most likely has residue of finger oils causing it to not make good contact which will lead to the phone saying "Insert Sim" even when one is in.
