hey guys (and gals) i would like to split up my larger dvds (8 gigs and up) into two dvd-r's but still keep functioning menus. i want to put the main movie on one and the extras on another. i think i read that clonedvd 2 could do that but it won't let me install. i think i had it installed a while back for the free trial but uninstalled after a couple of days and when i try to install now it says the free trial has expired and i must purchase to use. make sense? so if anyone knows of a free program like dvd shrink or a program w/ a fully functional free trial, please let me know.

Try these 2 as a Combo
    http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_tools/anydvd.cfm
    This will Bypass The protection
Aslo This to Compress or Split in your case
    http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_tools/clonedvd.cfm
Just remember to uncheck the Preserve Menus box for the Second Disc
They are both Free for 21 days you can get both from Slysofts Site
I gave you those links since it will help support Afterdawn
The Cost is 59 bucks US to buy them
Dont get me wrong Shrink is a Great Program
Personally I feel that the Video Quality of Clone is Better than everything else I have tried
    Enjoy
    :)

@vedas.i have read that clone dvd is a rip off of shrink,as it uses the same compression engine, thus anyone who buys it is a fool.
    with kind regards hursty

thanx for the responses guys. but i already know how to split the movie and extras on 2 separate discs w/ shrink. that's not the problem. i want to do that BUT ALSO KEEP the WORKING menus. shrink won't let u do that. so, any free/trial programs that will allow that? what about NERO?
