How u doin? Just wonderin if any of you guys could plz explain to me how to transfer music from xbox to pc and vice versa. Much appreciated Also whilst im here (sorry for the twenty questions), what is the best way to get emulated games onto the xbox and what is the best site to get them from. (is there a tutorial on transferring games?) Tanks
For what, exactly? For use in games with custom soundtracks, or just to be able to play them on XBMC? If you want them for custom soundtracks, I can help you get them on there, but not back to the PC. To create and modify soundtracks using your PC, you can use Xbox Soundtrack Editor. Keep in mind, songs must be WMA, so convert them beforehand if you must. http://dwl.xbox-scene.com/~xbox/xbox-scene/tools/utils/xboxst097.zip The best way to get emulators on there is to use FTP. The best place to get them is xbins.
Hey venom, thx again. In regards to music transfer, i've just got a heap of cds stored in xbox hdd and would like to have them on my pc as they are hard to find albums and want also to put music ive downloaded on pc over to xbox (possible?)
As for the songs stored on the Xbox, you'd be better off just ripping them straight to your PC. The Xbox doesn't store any ID info on the WMA files, and on the harddrive they just show up with names like 4DE123F.wma and such. The title names are all stored in the soundtrack.db as I recall. To get songs from your PC to your Xbox, just use that app I linked to. Once you mod your Xbox, use that to connect to it via FTP and you can transfer as many wma song files as you like. All other formats must be converted prior to transfer, or else it won't work properly.
