Am fairly new to this board..but like what I see...but got this problem...when I start trying to track down what I am looking for ..I get side tracked on other things I want to lean about...so never get what I need to find ...hehehe ....some really great stuff on this board....also am fairly new to useing computors...
heres the deal ...in past I have DL some avi files that wouldn't burn through my nero vision express...and have stumbled accross a few mpeg that wouldn't either....plus same files would't play through my nero show time either...would cause it to stop responding... What would be the best thing to use in this case to tell me what the files might truely be...and what I would need to convert to for a burn... to play on both a stand alone and my pc...
Then I have this thing I would like to learn about...as I have some files I haven't burned yet because they have closed captions..and can't seem to find another file of the same with out it...so what would be the best program for takeing this out...and what would I look for to know that I am takeing out the closed captions...and the other things like ...the trailers and the other laugages....and so on....(editors cut and so on) rember now I am new to this...but want to learn...but am playing on the pc ...on a shoe string bug....but need to go from file to file....then burn with nero....
All I am asking is point me in the right direction of the software I need ...and simple to use ....and I will hunt down the directions on how to use....but clue me on what files I need to get rid of...on the closed captions....
    thanks Ahead of time....
