Hi. I recently bought a eVGA GeForce GTS 250 1 GB card, and i figured my 350w power supply isnt good enough to support the card. Can you help me with what i could use with my new card? Thanks Saltminen
Corsair psu's are excellent. You don't tell us what other hardware your system is running which would help us help you. But you are correct, your 350w psu won't do.
If you are running everything OK with a 350W power supply now, and the only change is the video card, then a 750W corsair will certainly be enough, as your videocard only uses about 250W. You could probably get away with less, as it is unlikely that you are currently using all 350W, and it is also unlikely that your current PSU makes all 350W that it claims to make.
Thanks for the fast reply Why im asking, is that im not much into computers, but i cant give you some system information. My CPU is a AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5000+ and my Motherboard is a MSI MS-7349
Here is a list of Corsair's offerings from Newegg just so you can compare. With the hardware youare running their 550VX and certainly their 650TX series should do you fine. I don't know if you have ever ordered from Newegg (or any other place for that matter) but they have a high reputation of service and quality (I have oredered from them many times for builds and upgrades).
