    Hello,
I am new here and I am looking for some advice on enhancing audio using Nero 8 wave editor. I have some sound files that were from old audio tapes. The tapes are from a radio drama back in the 70s and there is a lot of hiss and muffled sound and just poor audio quality in general. I have been trying to find some info on enhancing these files to make them easier to listen to but have been unable to. I have done some recording from albums and music cassettes and have had some good success but I'm not sure and improving on these old programs which I mentioned. Nero Wave Editor has many many settings and can be confusing. I would be much thankful for any help. Thanks!

Try audigy it is in public domain and is the default app for that stuff.

I use Nero only as a last resort for anything. There are always free apps that can do what it does much better.

Pardon me. I didn't mean to step on your toes. I actually thought that there was an app named Audigy.

    (Two minutes later)
I couldn't help myself...I had to look it up.

I knew that sounded familiar. It's in my PC.
