Hi guys you look like the ones who might can help me. I have a liteon 5005a it was replaced only a few months ago. It will stop recording and fail my disc after about an hr of recording...the reason why I got the first one replaced. Sometimes it will or will not record or recognize disc it was recognizing before. Im very bummed since this is a replacement machine to begin with. I am thinking that its time for me and Lite On to split..its an abusive relationship! I do like though recording our dvds and cutting out bad words and inappropriate scenes for my children... so it has to be hackable. Now when I shop Im seeing that the macrovision hack isnt for every machine. What would you get..am I stuck w/ liteons forever? The main issue for me is copying videos and dvds editing them and having a dvd that will work in various dvd machines through the house. Any advice here will brighten my day! Thank you kindly.
