I have Gateway MT3419 Notebook that came with Vista and I put XP on it because it didn't work with the MMO I'm playing. Anyways, everything works great except the LAN card and the Graphics card. I know it has a Geforce GO 6100, the problem is it doesn't know that... so when I tried to install drivers, it says there is no compatible hardware.

Is it possible that the hardware in this laptop only works with Vista? I also tried forcing drivers, nothing works. Any help appreciated. Thanks!

Gateway uses OEM versions of drivers on their laptops, so you can't just go and download any old forceware and install it. I believe the model you have is a newer one that only came with Vista so they never made OEM drivers for XP. You might want to try this website:

You may have to use a modified .inf file to install them but that page should help you with that.
