need help about IDE-DVD ROM 16x

    ok so one of my freinds game me and IDE-DVD ROM 16x drive but no installment software and idk where to find it. i can play dvd-pc games but wen i try to watch a dvd on my computer it wont let me. first it said i needed a dvd decoder then it said it didnt have the software needed on my computer. can anyone help? I ran belarc advisor to try to specify more on the model and stuff but thats all that came up

    Yeah it seems that the dvd works fine. It's a software problem and VLC should fix that. I use KMPlayer which works great also.
