im no expert here but i do know what all the members will be asking you is that we need more info!!!

what os you have, what burning programs, you have what kind of media are you using, what guides are you using, are you staying below that magic number of 4.36gb? and maybe for your next experiment you should get yourself some rw's.

    20 coaster wow that hurts!!

i use dvd shrink and nero and it works perfect for me using this guide....http://www.dvdshrink.info/ but i did have to uninstall roxio cause nero and roxio dont like each other.

    good luck to you!!

their is a new dvdshrink that you can configure with your burning software to omit the human error aspect.

    dvdshrink 314

    good luck

    alphaq,
jim_dandy's advice about the media is right on. Your cheap media becomes very expensive when most of them fail.
Before you burn anything else, go get a five pack of Ritek or Memorex etc, the good stuff costs more. R/Ws are another good suggestion by Jim. Experiment! Try different brands, try some +Rs.
Sounds like you have Shrink 3.1.X and are letting Nero Auto-burn, right?

    jim_dandy, good replys IMO.

    Cheers,
    Frank
