I'm sorry if this questions has been asked before but i need your help. I used dvd shrink to back up a dvd (stargate sg-1) series. Everything went fine until it was time to burn it into a dvd! When i try to burn it using artsoftshowbiz which is the software that came with my dvd burner, it said that the files i had selected were to big for the dvd! I noticed that the dvd says 4.7gb but my back up copy is almost 6.x. I thought that with shrink it would compress the files so that i'd be able to burn them into a dvd. Please help me out here! I'm deploying to iraq in 4 weeks and need to back up all my dvd's. The sand would destroy the original ones and i can't afford that! I also bought the DVD X copy software and it doesn't work at all I'm pissed off really, with what i paid for that software!!! Thanks Carlos
DVD Shrink does compress them. Run your settings through the user guide in my signature and make sure you understand the program.
Hi Carlos, What version of Shrink are you using? DVD Shrink 3.1 will normally compress your movie to fit on a blank disc unless you have changed the settings. Select Edit and then select Preferences. The size Shrink will compress your movie to can be selected here. You can find a guide here: http://dvdshrink.info/guides.php or here: http://www.chrismccann.co.uk My son leaves for NTC tommorow, from there he leaves for Iraq in about a month. Good luck over there, Be safe, Frank
