need help burning dvds with sonic my dvd and recordnow max

I am trying to burn multiple avi's on a dvd. It will only let me burn about 75 minutes worth of video or roughly 220 mgb on each dvdr. Am I doing something wrong? How can I get more video on my dvdr using either one of these programs?

zwills have you encoded them avi's first they need to be encode befor you put on dvd ,if you havent try this guide

I already burnt one dvd with sonic mydvd and it played fine I just can't fit that much on a dvd.

 

ok ,i just wasnt sure when you said your putting avis on a dvd i use other progs so dont no about sonic dvd ,sorry i thoght you were putting avi straight onth dvd
