Need help burning .vob files d/l'ed off of Usenet.

I download some video files from usenet newsgroups and cannot succesfully burn them to dvd to watch in my tv. i am now using nero 7 and have succesfully burned xvid files with no problem. the latest movie i d/l was already in dvd format. it had .vob files. i burned it with nero 7 and it plays on my pc fine but the dvd player won't recognize it. are there any tricks?

Sounds like a region problem. Try using DVDShrink to remove the region codes and then burn the disc region free.

 

it turns out it was because the video was pal format. can i change this?

 

You can use Nero Vision or recode. Those two are the easiest.
