The trailer for the upcoming Indiana Jones movie is now available on the internet in high definition, public download. I'd like to put it on a DVD so I can watch it on my home theater.

The trailer is available in three sizes of HD, all 30fps Quicktime files. I tried to convert one of them to NTSC DVD, 29.97fps (interlaced) and it's noticeably jerky. I used TMPGEnc Xpress 4. I didn't think such a small difference in frame rate would be noticeable, but it is.

Can someone explain how to convert this trailer to DVD in a way that looks the best? Thank you!

Thank you, that program works well. It looks better.

I'm interested to know how this super simple, free little program achieves better results than TMPGEnc?

I downloaded the 720 and 1080 files and ran them thru Dr. Divx.
This is the site I donwloaded them from:
    http://movies.yahoo.com/feature/indianajones.html?showVideo=1

Dr. Divx reports them as being 23.976 frames per second, and at this frame rate it's simple to encode in Tmpgenc. It should be encoded
progressive, 23.976, with the encode option "3.2 option when playback"

If your really are 30 fps can you give the URL?
