need help coverting format...what program should be used

    i recorded something onto a dvd-rw, and now i cannot figureout how to transfer it onto a dvd-r. I dont know what to try please help if you can. Is there a tool that converts the dvd-rw format into dvd-r. I made an .iso image and it still does not work. Please help!!!

    need more info, what did you put onto your disc. i.e avi, mpg, dvd-rw and and dvd-r are disc formats and are basically the same thing except that rw you can use the disc again and write over stuff thats already on it. Its the files on the disc that are important. If its stuff you have just recorded off the telly on a dvd recorder you should be able to do disc to disc copy.

    Have you finalized the rw disc on the recorder, normally on recorders you have this option so that you can play the disc on other players/dvd-roms.

    if you already have burned your DVD-RW then you can do a one to one copy directly on the DVD-Rs!There are many programs that you can use! Nero is one, CopytoDVD is another. It's easy and simple! name some programs that you have? what are you using?
