I have a softmodded xbox and it has worked fine for 2 years, now all of a sudden i get this screen that comes up and says service required and to call customer support, Obviously i cant call customer support, does anyone know what this could be or how to fix it. The xbox will play game discs but thats it. Thanks for your help. The LED light flashes if that helps. Thanks.
If it's playing games, insert a newish game that supports Xbox Live and try to connect to Live. You don't need a cable connected or anything, but the disc will install a fresh dash and fix the corruption!
Now i sound like a liar, but gefore i could just play a disc, now it will not let me do anything. I am getting the same error code.
Yeah, it's a corrupt dash, but the disc trick normally works! Anyway, you'll need to hotswap! Just replace the old M$ Dash by deleting the one on the Xbox drive and replacing it with a FRESH dash!
