I don't see why you'd want to upgrade your BIOS, there's nothing to be gained from it, the system is too old to support a new CPU or anything like thar.

well the reason i want a new bios is because i want to overclock since there's no hope of me getting a new cpu, i know how to overclock its really easy but my old bios wont let me do so.

is obvious you don't know how to overclock as that system is incapable of overclocking.

hehehehehe.. yeah.. that 1.1(sic) athlon by it's number is actually a 900 clocked to the max internally already. I clocked mine down to 900 and it actually seems to run faster. It's definitely a lot more stable.

I have 3 of these systems.. 2 non workers (blown cpu) and the one I clocked down.

There is a user hacked bios on wimsbios for this board.. but the max clock is 1.1.. it does add some more hdd entries into the drive tables tho.. so it's useful if you want to use it as a file server.

BTW.. these machines run debian and pclinux like absolute stars.. they struggle bad with xp.. seeming about the same as the top end of the p3's around the 800 mark..
