Everything is works fine, the XBOX turns off after flashing just like its supposed to, but when I turn it back on I still get the Flasg Bios 3.0.1 screen.
One thing to make sure of is that you press the power button with a quick tap. And one more thing you should check out is that little board you needed to hook up with the on/off board from your xbox, flip it over and make sure that none of the solder spots on the board are touching. good luck.
Also, make sure your settings on your X3 switch are correct for the X3 3108 1MB bios. On, On, Off, Off, Off is one way, Off, On, Off, Off, Off is another way. Try flashing your chip in the 3.0.3 flashmode, you can get to that by just tapping the power button (the switch color will be blue). What version Xbox do you have?
my guess would be that you flashed the chip with flashbios, which happens to already be on the chip...get a hold of the x3 bios and flash you chip with that.
Yes, I did flash it with the same bios. But I finally realized this and flashew with v16 bios, it flashed but I have sound with no pic. Ive heard I should have used X3 3108 bios, but how do I do that now, can I somehow flash again? I have xBOX V1.5,X3 chip w/solderless adapter.
That's your problem, you flashed a BIOS for v1.6 Xboxes on your v1.5 Xbox. Just reflash it, the X3 allows you to flash a new BIOS over a bad one.
Leave the bank switches to where you had the bad flash and press the Power+Eject buttons together to get to the backup BIOS, then reflash from there.
I don't know if this is recommended, but switch to another bank to boot up to the FlashBIOS screen again, then switch back and reflash that way.
1MB Bank: Bank 1234: on on off off <-- if this is what you had on when you flashed the bad BIOS then use the bottom one. Bank 5678: off on off off <-- once you get to the FlashBIOS screen, switch it back to the top one and reflash.
