the artwork appears on itunes, even on the songs that are being read off my ipod, but it does not appear on the ipod itself. also, i have the box checked that says "display album artwork on your ipod". what is the problem?
You should probably restore the iPod using the iPod software, as I had a similar problem which was solved using that method. If it doesn't work, post back
also havin problems with gettin the artwork(album covers) to appear on ipod. never seen one peice of artwork appear since i started using it. it doesnt even appear on my i tunes! i was suggested to 'restore'?? how doi go about doin that and alsobeen told to delete all my songs then put them back on again but that will take forever as i hav hunrededs of somngs on my ipod. please help . cheers lads
now i'm realising that this problem is only occuring with a couple albums from 1 artist. should i just erase them and import again?
To display an artwork you should check the box when iPod is connected stating "Display Album Artwork On Your iPod". Every song that I have has artwork (album or single image) and it's being displayed on my iPod.
Waster, If it isn't showing up in iTunes that means you don't have any album art for the song/album. Which means you have to add the album art for the songs manually. Hope that helps
The artwork is showing up on my itunes for all albums however it only shows up on some of the albums in the ipod. I do have the box checked that states "display artwork on ipod". The thing i noticed is, the artwork is not working for the songs that I have imported but it works on songs that I transfered from my friends' itunes.
Well I would re-suggest what Lethal suggested, reformatting the iPod with the iPod software. As far as I know there arn't any restrictions on the size of the picture you put in as album art. But you say the pictures are showing up in iTunes? Even the ones you put in and arn't from your friends iTunes? I know a lot of cd's don't automatically put the album art on the computer when you rip them into iTunes. Which I find to be a major hassle but what are you gonna do? Hope I helped and didn't ramble to much!
I figured it out. You have to save the artwork to the albums in your library first. In other words, you must have the artwork saved to your library files as well as your ipod files.
That I guess, is what I was trying to say. General rule of thumb, if it's not in iTunes it won't be on your iPod.
I had the same problem you did with the artwork. it took some researching but i figured out how to get the artwork on my iPod. you have to UNCHECK the box that says you want the artwork. the ipod will then update. then go back and RECHECK the box. the ipod will update again and the artwork should appear. it did for me at least. hope that helps
So I did what LtchWrth1 suggested many times....but nothing comes up. How did people who put the artwork in manually (from songs transported from my comp. to iPod) get the pics? Just saving each picture independently and then pasting it in the little box?? Thanks!
I have a program call MusicMatch that you can put art work on. I went to Walmart.com and copyed the picture of the cd then i pasted it in a special folder. it was easy but it sounds very hard and confusing. and if that button clicking didnt work then you must of fudged something up on yur iPod. :-D
!! Why that's....nice No, I'm pretty sure it's not anything I did....but just the fact that for some reason it's not going online and getting the covers for the albums the way Windows Media Player does. Thanks for all the help guys!
If you have Mac computer download Album cover finder software, then drag the picture cover into itunes to the selected album. Its Free!!!!!
