Did you format hard drive and re-install the operating system? Or did you just hook up the old on your new system and copied the music? If the original hard drive is still intact then the license is still on it. If your formated it, then you'll have to google 'protected WMA to MP3' Also read . I don't know if they remove the license without the password, but it's worth looking into
I just gota usb adapter and hook it up to my other cp and tryed to drag and drop it off on to my new cp and it will not play or i cant make any cd s for my ride how do you get the rights off there too
If you have it hooked up by usb, you may be able to transfer it back to your new hard drive. This may help http://support.microsoft.com/kb/920075 I don't know which media player your using, but the methods described by microsoft may help you recover the license.
Free WMA to MP3 Converter I'm not sure if it will work for you, but I know this: it's a really clean, easy to use program. It's free. and if you don't like it, it's easy to remove.
