I don"t like Nero for Createing DVD"s and it doesn"t support Subtitles...It"s Mpeg-2 encodeing is Just awefull compared to real encoders...It is Definately a Newbie Program if you want More Professinal features Like Subtitles and Motion Menu"s then you need to use a Professinal DVD authoriong Program....

Most Programs that Have Subtitle Support are Higher end Programs and Most of these Programs will require you to First encode your AVI files to DVD compliant Mpeg-2 files before being able to use them....

If you use a Good encoder like Tmpgenc or the MainConcept Encoder to encode your AVI to DVD Compliant Mpeg-2 you can then use a Program Like "MediaChance DVDLab Pro" which will let you add your Subtitles and Menu"s and Chapters and Scene Selections and Motion Menu"s ect and it will Format it all into a "Video_TS" folder which you can then Burn to DVD.....

This method is More Complicated and Takes Longer but you will also Create a Much Higher Quality DVD with Nicer Menu"s and Navigation Features....

    Cheers

PS: if you ever Find that you get no audio after createing your DVD it is usually because your AVI file has VBR Mp3 audio in which case you should allways decompress the audio in your AVI files useing this Tool:
