ok i been looking at them and i still can decide wich chip i should put into my xbox i know it is 1.0 xbox cause i got the box on launch date also i want the chip to be solderless. so i dont know wich chip is better wich is the most up to date and will have more up to date Os on the chip and will let me play all the new game and play roms on my xbox. so wich chip would be the best the Xenium SP.ICE or Xecuter 3 CE

Both the X3ce and Xenium S.P.ice work the exact same in the end. The X3 has more (somewhat useful but fun) options however, and has a better support team behind their chips. Out of everybody that has Xbox chips, I would say that 50% have Xectuer chips, 30% have Xenium chips, and the other %20 have other chips...

If you do decide to go w/ the Xecuter 3ce w/ the Xapter (solderless adapter) I have the perfect guide for you...

Check the links below to read up on both chips...

    1) X3, http://webpages.charter.net/modchipzone/executor3.htm
    2) S.P.ICE, http://webpages.charter.net/modchipzone/xeniumspice.htm

ok i got a few more question if you can answer that would be great

    1) the Xenium SP.ICE chip says it has a Emergency Recovery System (ERS) what is that does the Xecuter 3 CE have that

    2) also can u play roms of the old systems on both chips

The Emergency Recovery System is not needed what-so-ever, and the X3 allows you to backup your needed info. as well. What you should do right after you install your chip is FTP all of your information from your Xbox's original HD to your computer's HD and burn it to a disc for safe keeping.

Emulators can run on any system that has been modified...

Ok, you are going to have to learn how to FTP to your Xbox once you mod it. Here is the perfect guide for you,

You will want to make a backup of your C: & E: partitions on your Xbox. So if your HD ever goes out on you for some reason, you can just load the C: and E: back on to any HD you wish.

Since you have Xbox Live already on your original HD, you will not be able to use your upgraded one on Xbox Live or you will get banned for sure (marriage theory). You cannot play games off of the HD on Xbox Live also, because you need to start up your Xbox w/ the chip enabled to get into them, and if you go online w/ your chip enabled you will get banned.

You can play XBconnect however, which is like Xbox Live but is free.
