I need help with playing a backed up (copied) dvd movie in my ps2. I beleive my ps2 is version 2, but it could possibly be v1. I also do not have a modchip and have not modified my ps2 in any way. I want to know what burning program would be best to use and what settings for the said program would be ideal. I appologize if this has already been answered but I have done a search and found nothing. please help
what are you using,i have no problems playing my copies on the ps2.....i use choice 4.7gb dvd-r blanks, can not tell you version number of my ps2 but it is nearly 2 years old (UK)..i use dvd shrink v3 for most dvds for those that software can not cope with i use dvd decrypter and then dvd2one.....out of over 20 copied dvds so far have had no grief.........
You don't need to mod your PS2 in order to play backed up dvd movies.... Software such as nero or recordnow dx will produce a suitable burn. I use recnow dx and encounter no issues. However they are funny when it comes to media - I use ritek dye discs g04 and these work well. Make sure after you have used dvd shrink or dvd2one, that ALL the files are resident inside a folder called VIDEO_TS (uppercase), these should then play no worries..... Tell us your method, we maybe able to see the problem......
Zeplan, as ken said, try not to post in the wrong forums, i know this is a crossover. This would be better dealt with in the PS2 forum. The problem may lie with the DVD R media itself.
Hee Hee, I'm gonna disagree (in a nice way) Oriphus...... If he was talking about an LG3200e standalone - then it would be in the correct forum..... He is talking about the PS2 - so yes maybe for the PS2 forum - however, we are talking about the PS2 as a standalone dvd player and can it play backup dvd movies......so I think this is the correct forum..... No offense intended, just a little humour for the weekend...... P.s Man Utd are gonna do it AGAIN this season....Yea....
lol - I get your point ;-) Man Utd sure are - so are Ferrari in the F1, with Williams second. More of this in safety valve eh!
