need help playing mpeg4 on dvd player

    hi i have a movie in mpeg format and also a dvd player that plays mpegs. when i burned the mpeg movie on a cd, it plays on my dvd player, but i do not get any sound with it. the mpeg plays fine on my laptop with windows media player

    Hi there.

    One of the reasons this would happen is that your DVD player does not have the required codec to play sound for this particular AVI. What type of MPEG-4 is it? DivX, Xvid, something else ?

    Also, what is the manufacturer's name and model of the DVD player you have?
