Hi, I'm just new to all this RatDVD thing, i downloaded a movie encoded with RatDVD, the problem is, after having installed RatDVD i click on the Rat file, but i get an error message saying "Invalid Archive Footer", does anyone know what this means and how i can convert it back to DVD?. I cant play the file with WMP 10, all i get is ambience, havent a clue what this is.

    Can anyone help?

Usually this means that the file is damaged (not downloaded correctly). You can use the RATcheck utility from RATattack to doublecheck.

Thanx for your reply, i downloaded the RATcheck tool, unfortunately the zip file would not open, i have Winzip installed on my pc, i unzipped it, but there was an application error and something about failing to materialize, this rat thing is turning out to be a total waste of space, nothing like keeping it simple, even the rat check tool doesn't function properly.

Oh well.... guess i'll just need to delete the file, not wasting my time anymore.

Thanx for your reply tho', much appreciated.

    Best wishes

The RATcheck tool is written in C# - so you need the .NET runtime to un it. Can be downloaded from Microsoft...
