Hi there I wonder if anyone can help..please I'm not all that technically minded but somehow taught myself to copy a film on original dvd (because the otriginal disk was getting a bit damaged) to a blank dvd. Used anydvd, dvd shrink and nero7 Anyway I decided to test out playing the film on the copied disk, and it seemed to play fine so I threw the original away, and deleted all the vts files from my harddrive to free up space on there. Anyway when I went to watch the film properly about 3/4 into the film it started to freeze. Could anyone please advise how I can copy the contents back onto the hardrive, as i have tried and it comes up with an error "crc" . I pressume it is my disk that is faulty (they were only cheap from a supermarket) So I want the details back onto my hard drive so I can copy onto a new one. Thanks in advance
I assume (never assume kids), that if it IS the disk thats faulty, then you wont be able to get the files as they originally were back onto the computer, cause it wont be able to read it properley? Not sure though.
Try usig Shrink. load the dvd into your burner. Open the disk in shrink. that will start the analasys. Go to backup where it says target use the menu that says a folder on the hard drive. At the destionation type in C:\movie name. then hit ok. once the mivie is on the hard drive. Just backthat up to a blank disc. If this doesn't work then it's off to Target for a new DVD.
Thanks for the advise, I tried through Shrink, but I got the crc error. I am just in the process of copying the disk to my HD with anyreader Thanks
