Need help unlocking Nokia 6103 from T-Mobile (and instructions)

Can someone help me with full instructions to unlock a T-Mobile phone for Cingular network?
Model Nokia 6103
IMEI #354814/01/098173/2
Any help is appreciated. Also, once it's unlocked should it work through my Cingular service?

Remove Sim card, switch on the Phone
1 - Press #
2 - Press * three times to write p
3 - Press * four times to write w
4 - Press * twice to write +
5 - Enter the 15 digit code provided WITHOUT SPACES
6 - Press * twice to write +
7 - Press 7
8 - Press #
Your phone should now be unlocked
