Ok so i just installed fedora 9 linux on my laptop
its a gateway MX3228 14.1" screen 1280x768 and and deleted XP sp2 the problem is that the screen resolution on fedora is to big and i need something that makes screen res. smaller i tried system/preferences/hardware/screen resolution doesnt work. i tried system/administration/display, ctrl+alt+up or down,
    and tried to edit xorg.conf

Is it just giving you a low res 640x480?

Unless we know more about the hardware we can't do much really.. after you edited xorg.conf did you restart the xserver? /etc/init.d/xdm restart
and try setting the resolution again?

You may need a special driver,,, ps.. it's a hopeless title. Doesn't everybody need help?
