Hey everyone, first I would just like to say thanks for any help you can give me, and please try to help if you can, I need to know the answer to my question by tomorrow morning.

    So, here it goes.

I'm going to buy this computer tomorrow. http://microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0308693

So,if I bought this computer, would it be good enough to run games such as TF2, and garrys mod? (On high res)

Also, would I be able to add in a video card or something to upp the res or overall gaming experience? Please help, I really do appreciate it.

    Thanks!!
    -Isaiah

Weak CPU, weak gpu, and its a refurb. Do you know what a refurb is? Its broken and been fixed, and that usually means your asking for trouble.

Well the comp im using now has 1/6th the ram, and less then half the gigs on the hard drive of the new computer.

So in theory it would HAVE to be better, right?

No, hard drive space is just storage, and ram is just temporary storage. It is likely that the HP is a bit better in performance, but it is not necessarily the case...if the old system was speced out for gaming, it might still be faster.

Also, I have my own definition of refurb: A system built from the half-dead parts of a pile of completely dead systems.
