hello, I am trying to install flight simulator x. bud when I open it for the installshield it gives me this error: 1607: Unable to Install installshield scripting Runtime I have googled it but it says that I need to update.... I tryed to do that but then I found out that my windows is not legal but copyed. I can only install this if I update my windows xp. Can you guys help me out? A good friend of myn told me to post my problem here. thank you Dersim
Easiest and the only method to get around this problem - Validate your version of windows!! Questions I would be asking to myself... 1) Where did you purchcase your computer 2) Was the operating system already onboard 3) Have you installed an illegal copy of windows yourself 1&2) - If You bought your computer and it came complete with the operating system intact and already running then I would contact the place you bought it from. If they refuse to co-operate then let them know that you will be contacting microsoft in regards to their service. Also, another point to remember is that it has been known that in certain cases, certain updates have incorrectly branded systems as non genuine, if this is the case then ring microsoft to verify your copy of windows and they should then give you a new licience code. I already had a legal one. but I have got importent stuff on my computer. if windowns gives me another key do I need to install windowns again? because if I need to do that I wont just for a game...
