Download a program called gspot, open the avi file and post all of the information that gspot spits at you so we can see where the error is coming from.

    Hi...

Ok, but can you explain? Did you run the conversion with aviTodvd and had it complete and then discover you did not have DivX codecs or??

I am just learning about aviTodvd and your infomation will help me and others here... I have to convert 10 movies to DVD.

    Thx...

I ran Gspot and it told me no video codecs was found and so I download them. I use avi2dvd software to convert my home videos that were avi format to a dvd iso and burned it onto dvd-rw with Nero 6 software. I hope that helps I'm really really new to this.

    Hi...
Yes, this does help and thank-you for your response. I am just learning like you and have 10 AVI's I want to burn to 1 DVD. I gave you the tutorial I found in my first response where it shows how to combine multiple AVI's into one DVD. I should probably start with just converting one AVI to DVD before I tackle multiple AVI's. I use Nero 6 also so this is good info's! (THX)

I have not mastered putting more than one avi on a dvd at once so if you figure it out please inform me of how you did it. I have 10 home movies that I recorded from this year holidays and birthdays. I have been putting each one on its own dvd. It would be nice if I could combined them all to one. Thanks

If you want to keep them in avi format, just use nero and make a data dvd with multiple avi's.

If you want to make a dvd format you can use multiple applications, but since you're already using nero, trying using nerovision express and encode multiple avi's at one time.

    Cheers.
