Even if the phone was unlocked, it will not work in Egypt. All you have over there and almost all sandy countries are GSM 900 MHz The USA version of the 6102i is not compatible for GSM 900 MHz. Phone you have is useless in Egypt. #pw+732 460 452 066 077+7# Just remember, it was explained to you why you will not have any signal.

It can be a USA phone but the phone but have the ability to use the GSM 900 MHz frequency. Nokia 6085 from AT&T for instance would have worked there because it's quad band and has the GSM 900 MHz capability.
