I just bought a new pc. I had my old pc hooked to my LCD HDTV and moved it to the family room. I hooked it up to widescreen 22" monitor that it used to be hooked up to and all I get is "No Input Signal". The PC boots and monitor is good. I brought old pc back and hooked to HDTV and works fine. I tried 3 cables (DVI,DVI-D and VGA w/DVI adapter) and still get no input signal. Could the PC still be set to HDTV settings which keep monitor from recognizing pc? Is there a way to reset monitor or pc without moving it back and messing with all cables? Is it common problem for people moving from HDTV back to a monitor?
You can set the monitor settings via CCC or Ntune depending if its ATI or Nvidia. If you get really stuck, then just remove the drivers, reboot and reload drivers when connected to the new monitor.
