NEED HELP WITH MY DELL INSPIRON 9400

    I GOT A DELL INSPIRON 9400 THAT CAME WITH VISTA, AND THE PROGRAMS I NEED AREN'T COMPATIBLE WITH VISTA, SO I INSTALLED XP PRO AND THEN IT HAPPEN I WAS MISSING A WHOLE BUNCH OF DRIVERS, I HAVE NO SOUND, NEED A High Definition Audio BuS FOR A MODEM AND AUDIO DRIVERS, CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME I HAVE BEEN SEARCHING THE NET AND HAD NO LUCK.     If you have XP Pro and do all of the Windows Updates you should get everything you need. Realtek has some good audio drivers as well.
    You may also be missing audio codec's which will cause you to have no sound when you play media.

    Do all windows updates first and then go from there.
