need help with software?

    hello ppl need help with some software,i converted an avi to DVD with winavi and tryed a couple of settings and i could'nt get it to fit on a 4.7 gig dvd,any suggestions thnx.

    Well if you have a lot of ifo's and stuff. Use Dvd Shrink, open in there, then go to reauthor tab, and drag the main movie to the left side and backup.

    The Size of your DVD is Directly related to the Length of your Source File and the Bitrate you use to encode the File so if you select the Correct Bitrate when encodeing your File will allways be the Right size to Fit on a DVD....

    What you need is a Bitrate Calculator which all you do is Type in the Langth of your Movie and it will tell you what to set the Bitrate to so that it fits on a DVD....

    You could also just use "VSO DivXToDVD" which is Fully automatic but probably doesn"t produce as Good of Quality as other Encoders.....
