Hey everyone. I've tried other forums...and I still haven't found an answer yet, so hopefully this is the place. I just bought a Samsung 5-speaker surround sound which includes a sub and DVD/receiver. I have successfully hooked up the DVD and I finally figured out how to get it to play from the DVR...but it's either one or the other. To get the other I have to disconnect it and hook it back up the other way. I'm trying to figure out how to get it to play from both without having to disconnect everything. I hit the button on the receiver from "DVD" to "AUX2" and there's no sound. I've tried everything. It isn't very convenient to have to dig into the wires in the back and disconnect everything to switch it up. There's got to be a way. Any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED. I have been dealing with this for 2 weeks and it's a pain!
you can usually purchase a box with hdmi or component video hookups that you simply hook everything up to it and throw a switche when you change video sources check out newegg.com or one of your local electronics stores.
here is a link to a search result from newegg.com this will give you some idea of what to look for and prices but shop around and make sure to check user reviews http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Description=video+switch
awesome thanks. Also...is there a way I can get sound from the center speaker on my 5.1 system from watching regular TV on DVR? DVD movies work great, but when I try to watch a fight on PPV from regular TV I don't get the sound from my center speaker (located on top of the TV.) Thanks again.
