I am trying to cut up a .m2v file with Cuttermaran. I first demuxed my mpeg (movie clip) file using Project-X_0.91.0 I have the part of the video cut and am now ready to save my new video. I choose cut video and audio and it seems to save the video just fine but I get errors when it tries to save the audio part of it. Here is a sceen shot of my error. Is there a setting or something I am doing wrong?
Not any help with Cuttermaran - but I suspect it's either the overall bitrate exceeds DVD specification or the audio bitrate is too low. Suggest posting at the VideoHelp site with any info or log it produced. http://forum.videohelp.com/
Here is the log file I get every time I try to mux it all back together. ************************************************ Mplex version 2.2.4 (2005/08/28) Mplex is part of MJpegTools package version 1.8 ported from Linux to .NET by Elmue (2006/12/18) ************************************************ Command: 'o' Option: "C:\Users\\Desktop\samplevideo.mpg" Command: 'i' Option: "C:\Users\\Desktop\samplevideo.mpv" Command: 'i' Option: "C:\Users\\Desktop\samplevideo.ac3" Command: 'f' Option: "9" File C:\Users\Jamie\Desktop\samplevideo.mpv looks like an MPEG Video stream. It looks to me that the bit rate is too high;I think the maximum for DVD is ~ 10 Mb/sec for the total video+Audio - but I can't be sure because I'm not familiar with Cuttermaran , that's why I suggest the VideoHelp site and 1920x1080 isn't DVD resolution (or is that your source).
I have tried to lower the bit rate but I cannot figure out how. I have used every setting I can find in the program but nothing seems to work. In the settings I put the bit rate at 9000 and it still fails. The source of my files are not from DVD. They are HD 1080i .tivo recordings that have been converted to .mpg files with direct show dump
All you should need to do is change the profile being used by the muxer. Just follow these screenshots to set it correctly.
Could not get this program to work no matter what. Eventually what eneded up working for me in the end was "VideoReDo Plus" It is a great program that works perfectly for me. It even can open .tivo files without having to convert them to a different format before editing. Thank you to everyone who helped me!
