Need help with USB.

    Hi i need help with my usb's i have 5-6 i think and none of them work, when i go to install my printer lexmark x1200 series i cant install ir or my digital camera is as if my usb's were there but wont be like install or if they were disable i try the BIOS but all i found there was to turnthe plug and play on it was on, all of this started to happen the not detecting my usb's when i reinstalled my windows xp server pack 2, after i did that my computer doesn't put like "Found new Hardware" like it used to do before could you please help me i been stuck in this for like 2 weeks now and is getting really annoying cause i cant use my printer, o and by the way maybe this will help you help me lol, i have the usb's are called Phoenix am running windows xp i bough it didn't came with the computer, is like it cant detect any usb's, it all works but that part dont know why plz help me.

    Check in your device manager and see if they are there, if so try to uninstall them all and reboot, your plug and play will pick them up.

    If this doesn't work then we will try something else.

    no that didn't work, you dont want me to uninstall the ports right? like (COM & LPT), i dont know what thats for but i havent unstall it.

    there should be "universal serial buss contollers" in device manager, have a look in there and see if theres any problems.

    Such as exclamation marks or question marks

    LPT ports are for your printers, try (doubt this will work but...) changing your LPT port to LPT 2
